ThermaSteel’s super-insulated xPanel technology — custom manufactured M-SIP / S-SIP thermally broken panels — performs as high as R-61. Installed by one trade, in days
Panels arrive on site ready to install. No additional structure, no insulation, no sheathing and no vapor barrier are required — four steps accomplished with each xPanel put in place. Save on multiple material shipments and reduce your labor from four or five trades to only one framer.
Our panels are like big building blocks, arriving marked and with all required accessories, even track and screws. Our drawings are labeled so all you need to do is drop in place and fasten. We follow the construction and framing industry, using studs every 16″. If you are handy and have some framing experience, training time is less than two hours.
Quick, fast install — no special training required, and no power tools except a screw gun. An average house is usually completed within three days (exterior, interior and roof panels) by one framer and two helpers.
Net-Zero and Passive House

Hurricane and moisture
If your project is on the coast or in a hurricane zone, our panels are rated and tested for the Miami-Dade hurricane wind and projectile protocol.

Earthquake and life expectancy
If your project is in an earthquake zone, you are safe with us. ThermaSteel panels weigh on average 45 pounds each (4′ by 12′) — being so light means they will not vibrate in a seismic event and will not crack. We have tested and certified for Richter magnitude 9 earthquakes in Russian lab tests.

Flexibility of design
If your project has curved walls or round windows, we have seen it and done it before. We have developed a technology that is literally limitless. ThermaSteel panels arrive ready to assemble with all hardware included. All rough openings for windows and doors are pre-fabricated to meet the specifications of each window and door manufacturer. No measuring, no cutting, no scrap, no foam.
Drawings, electrical and plumbing
Easy to read, customised assembly drawings are furnished with each project. Each numbered panel on the drawing corresponds to the number written on the panel. Your drawings are available several weeks before your panels arrive, so there is plenty of time to become familiar with the instructions and to call us with any questions. Every six panels are bundled according to the wall line-up of your project.
What about electricity and plumbing? Every panel comes with 1″ × 2″ wire raceways 11″ from the bottom, so you do not need to drill studs. Cutting out the foam for plumbing is easy and can be done with a pocketknife or a hot knife cutter. Electrical boxes are attached to the studs as usual.

What will my heating bill actually be?
In a zone 6A winter, a well-built panel house typically uses 70–75% less heating energy than the code-built version of the same plan. On a house that would otherwise burn 900 gallons of oil a year, that is roughly 225–270 gallons. Send us your plans and we will run it against your design rather than a generic house.
Does the house feel different to live in?
Quieter and more even. There are no cold walls, no draught at the base of a stud bay, and rooms stay within a degree or two of each other. The panels also do not off-gas and contain no carcinogens, pathogens or allergens.
Can I get the design I want, or am I picking from a catalogue?
There is no catalogue. Nearly every project is custom. Curved walls, round windows, cathedral ceilings and A-frames have all been built. We panelize your architect’s drawings; we do not ask you to build ours.
What happens if I want to move a wall or add a room later?
Manufacturing records are held for 25 years, so panels can be matched and supplied to the original specification. A 10-year material warranty covers the panels themselves.
Can I do some of the work myself?
Plenty of owner-builders do. Panels are numbered to match the drawings, the assembly manual runs to 36 illustrated pages, and one framer with two helpers is a typical crew. If you are handy and have framed before, the learning curve is a couple of hours.
What does it cost?
It depends entirely on the building, which is why the estimate is free and comes with a like-for-like comparison against framing plus insulation plus sheathing plus the labour for all of it. Send plans, a sketch, or a description with rough dimensions.
