Directly, by removing the cause. Ice damming is a heat-loss problem — warm air escapes into the roof assembly, melts the snowpack from below, and the meltwater freezes at a cold eave. A continuous thermally broken roof leaves very little heat to do that with.
Bundles can be broken down and shuttled in with a smaller truck or trailer when the last mile is tight, and a 4′ × 12′ panel averages 45 lb, so a crew can carry them by hand where a machine will not fit. Tell us early and the delivery gets planned around it.
Yes. We supply the whole of New England from our base in Keene, New Hampshire, with panels manufactured in Radford, Virginia. Freight to Lincoln is a quoted line item on the estimate, not a surprise at the end, and it is a small number against what the wall saves over the life of the building.
